David Graeber has worked for Paul Stankard for almost twenty years as his studio assistant. A few years ago Paul encouraged David and his other assistants to develop their own designs which were signed Stankard Studios and with the artist’s name. Recently Stankard cut his work week to three days a week, giving David Graeber three days a week to make his own designs. To further his career David has built a studio at his house where he works on his weights. His weights are signed and dated with a cane, and sometimes in script on the side toward the base.
This small bouquet from 2016 features miniature Asian roses and berries. Set against a translucent blue ground really highlights the bright colors.
